About Sheresa Christopher, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Christopher is a board-certified forensic psychologist and the founder of SC Psychological Services, LLC in South Carolina. She also serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Community and Public Safety Psychiatry Division at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Christopher earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Forensic Psychology Emphasis from Palo Alto University. She completed a forensic-focused predoctoral internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a postdoctoral fellowship at East Central Regional Hospital/Augusta University.
Prior to starting her private practice, Dr. Christopher founded and led a specialized forensic program for youth and families and served for over a decade as the founding Training Director of a prestigious forensic psychology fellowship, while also providing primary supervision for a forensic psychiatry fellowship. She brings extensive experience working with adults and adolescents across all levels of care, including outpatient settings, residential treatment, intensive programs, detention, acute psychiatric stabilization, and long-term hospitalization in state psychiatric hospitals. Clinically, she is particularly focused on justice-involved youth facing complex mental health challenges, including the psychological effects of trauma.
Dr. Christopher provides comprehensive forensic evaluations in both criminal and civil contexts, serving adults, adolescents, and families. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology in Forensic Psychology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology.
